According to FAO, more than 60 percent of the world’s population depends on agriculture for survival. In Africa, Agriculture is the most important livelihood sector, contributing to over 50 % of GDP. Food security issues have been on the rise especially in the GHA region where 75% of the land is classified as arid. Consequently, agricultural production and monitoring support decision tools are developed to prioritize efforts towards improving vulnerable parts of agricultural systems.
